STOP Shirts: The Oppression Series

Occasionally, we feature products designed by other folks.  Check out these “STOP SHIRTS,”  designed by Bruce Robert Hare, Emeritus Professor of Sociology, Syracuse University.

Three T-Shirts, Front and Back

“For me, the shirts visually represent oppression as a social form with specific emphasis on the ‘isms,’ as in sexism, with the blue (male) over pink (female); racism, with white (euro) over black (color); and poverty as symbolized by golden (rich) over brown (dirt poor).  Each shirt asks its ‘ism’ to stop as represented by the placement within the stop symbol.”BRH
